Long before becoming a public park, the property was part of one of San Marino's historic estates.
In 1925, the land was opened to the public and has since become one of the city's most treasured green spaces.
Today, visitors enjoy beautifully landscaped gardens, historic architectural features, towering trees, open lawns, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels worlds away from the busy streets of Los Angeles.

Conveniently located between Virginia Road and Huntington Drive, Lacy Park is only a few minutes from Pasadena, Arcadia, and many other Los Angeles County communities.
Its central location also makes it an excellent choice for couples visiting Southern California from out of town.
Parking Information
One thing many first-time visitors don't realize is that Lacy Park's parking lot is relatively small.
On weekdays, finding a space is usually much easier.
However, weekends can become busy with families, birthday celebrations, sports activities, and community events.
If the main parking lot fills up, street parking is available along the surrounding residential streets, with only a short walk into the park.
Our recommendation?
Arrive at least 30–45 minutes early so you can relax, avoid rushing, and enjoy the experience together.

For visitors from outside San Marino:
Weekdays: Admission is generally free.
Weekends: Non-residents are typically charged $4 per person.

Southwest Center Lawn
This quickly became another favorite.
Not only does it provide plenty of shade and open space, but it's also located near the park's iconic white wooden pergola overlooking the beautiful rose garden.
