A Weekend Full of Celebrations
Fourth of July weekend in 2026 wasn't just another holiday.
America was celebrating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence.
Families were preparing for barbecues.
Beaches would be packed.
Fireworks would fill the night sky.
While the country prepared to celebrate its history, Billy was preparing to celebrate something just as meaningful to him.
The beginning of forever.
We had a feeling there would be fireworks that weekend...
Just not the kind everyone else was expecting.
Turning an Idea Into a Plan
Once Billy booked with us, we immediately got to work.
Together we planned a romantic sunset proposal overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Newport Beach.
To make the moment even more memorable, we designed one of our signature minimalist proposal setups featuring:

Arriving Early Makes All the Difference
One thing we never compromise on is arriving early.
Before every proposal, we scout the location, complete the setup, check lighting conditions, and make sure every detail is exactly where it should be before our couple arrives.
That way, when Billy walked onto the beach...
He could focus on one thing.
The person he loved.
Their Song Began to Play
As Billy and his girlfriend slowly walked toward the proposal location, we quietly started playing their song:
"The Blower's Daughter" by Damien Rice.
She immediately stopped.
She smiled.
Then looked around wondering,
"Where is that coming from?"
Without realizing it, she was walking straight toward one of the biggest moments of her life.
One Question Changed Everything
As they reached the proposal setup, Billy began speaking.
Every word he'd been rehearsing.
Every emotion he'd been holding onto.
Every reason he wanted to spend forever with her.
Then...
He got down on one knee.
For just a moment...
Everything else disappeared.
The beach.
The music.
The people walking nearby.
Even the sunset.
There were only two people standing in that moment.
Billy asked the biggest question of his life.
She smiled through tears.
And she said...
"Yes."
Chasing the Last Light
With the surprise complete, the evening was just beginning.
For the next thirty to forty minutes we explored the Newport Beach coastline together, photographing every laugh, embrace, and quiet moment as the sun slowly disappeared below the Pacific Ocean.
Golden hour gave us everything we could have hoped for.
Soft light.
Warm colors.
An unforgettable sunset.
Sometimes the best photographs happen after the proposal.
