Our Story: A Quiet Proposal Before Social Media Knew Everything
Back then, I didn’t have Instagram or engagement Pinterest boards. I didn’t know how to plan a styled shoot, I couldn’t tell you what time golden hour started, and I certainly didn’t think to hire a photographer. I just knew I loved her.
It was 11 years ago. We were getting ready for bed—just another quiet night together. Stephanie walked into the bathroom to wash up, and while she was gone, I pulled out the ring. When she came back into the room, I was on one knee. No music, no flowers, no fancy setup—just me, hoping she’d say yes.
And she did.
If I’m being honest, there’s a part of me that wishes I could go back and make it more special for her.
